Brain Foundation and other events of interest:
Professor Bob Hill of the University of Adelaide
Professor Bob Hill, Executive Dean of the Faculty of Sciences has had a ponytail for virtually all of the time since his undergradute days. Bob has now agreed to have his lengthy pony tail cut off to raise funds for the Brain Foundation.

Pfizer Health Report
Pfizer commissioned a national survey into headache and migraine for the Brain Foundation and Headache Australia. It found a very high incidence of headache in the adult population. About 9 million were affected by severe headache in the last 12 months of whom two thirds were women. This is of epidemic proportion. Pfizer have put considerable resources into the launch that has enabled us to present information to newspapers, talk on many radio shows and appear on Channel 9's 'A Current Affair.' Good Health and Beauty Show
The Brain Foundation will have a stall at the Sydney Good Health and Beauty Show. Please come and meet us there we will have a range of information for you. The show is being run by the NSW Pharmacy Guild and it will be at:
Darling Harbour from Friday the 16th June to Sunday the 18th June.

BRAIN AWARENESS WEEK 2007:- 12th to 18th March

Awarding Cancer Enlightenment ( ACE ) Reporter Award 2007 Now called "Luminous Awards"
The Australian Division of the European School of Oncology ( ESO ) ACE Awards will be judged on the 4th April by a panel including the National Executive Director of the Brain foundation, Gerald Edmunds and a presentation made later that month. The Australian journalist who wins, and others of merit, will be entered in the European Finals.
The event is being co-ordinated and sponsored by Eli Lilley. The local prize is $5,000, a commemorative plaque and a certificate. The winner of the ESO final will receive $E 10,000 and an all-expenses trip for two to Paris to collect. |
